I am sending this on behalf of my mother.
1) Why you are learning your foreign language (e.g., career advancement, etc.).
My mom wants to learn to speak French because she is planning to go to France and eventually migrate. She was informed that most of the people there only speak French so it would be very important for her to learn the language.
2) Your proficiency level (e.g., beginner, etc.).
My mom speaks English proficiently but for French, she is familiar with some basic words.
3) The areas in which you feel you need particular improvement (e.g., grammar, conversation, etc.), if any.
For the French language, all of the above.
4) How much time you want to dedicate to your language lessons.
About 2 to 3 hours a day.
5) What qualities you are looking for in your lessons or in your teacher.
A teacher who is patient, would teach everything in regard to the French Language - basic to expert level, is fluent and really knowledgeable on the mentioned Language.
