I have visited Italy three times and each time come home longing to know more about the language. I have taken a couple of classes but consider myself a beginner. I have not been able to take a class in two years. I would like to meet with a teacher at least once a week, occasionally twice a week. I want to learn conversationa l Italian. I am a former high school English teacher, but for some reason, learning another language has not come easy for me.

I have studied Spanish and am interested in learning French. I want to learn French for my own interests i.e., travelling, general communication . I am a beginner in French and would need to start from scratch... especially with pronunciation ! I'm looking for classes geared for practical conversation and learning the basics to build on in the future. Ideally, the teacher would be a patient, native speaker skilled in teaching pronunciation and breaking down the language into the basics and also work in person. My time available to dedicate to learning would be approximately 4-6 hrs/wk.
