I travelled extensively in Iran in 2010 and fell in love with the Persian language. It was at the Tomb of Hafez, while listening to a poetry recital. I would like to learn for pleasure and to be able to talk to my Iranian friends when I return there.
I'm a beginner, but I've had a lot of exposure to the language through music, and I know quite a lot of phrases. I can also read Persian Arabic script quite well. I'm a highly motivated learner.
M y main goal is to learn to have conversation, but also to understand the grammar and be able to write/type in Persian.
I would be interested in more than one lesson a week, each time for an hour or two. I'm looking for a teacher who is proficient in both the Farsi dialect and also in English, living in Seoul or Gyeonggi-do. My lessons would need to be in the mornings or after 9pm or at the weekend.
