Would like to learn Russian, beginner to intermediate level now; never had any formal classroom training but have been studying with friends and family for three years. Husband's family came Odessa, Ukraine in 1979, and all speak Russian. Would like to expand my knowledge of the language, but get very nervous and frustrated when speaking with his family, as I need to understand grammar and they cannot explain it well. I am a native English speaker and fluent in Spanish, butso far have found Russian difficult.

I am a beginner and want to move all the way to the advance lever. I am learning farsi to be able to communicate with family in Iran. Learning to write is not as important to me as being able to speak and understand. I would be able to devote to 1-2 lessons a week depending and willing to travel to San Jose or Gilroy areas also if needed.
