I do not know any french whatsoever. I would like to accept a position with the Peace Corps however the language requirement is French and the departure date is July 2006. I need to learn 6 credit hours (French 1 and 2 perhaps?) of university level french. I will spend whatever time is required to make this happen in the next 5 or 6 months.

I am a beginner with no background in Portuguese but am traveling to Brazil this summer and would like to work for 6-8 hours a week starting in the middle of March until the end of May to get a basic understanding of conversationa l and grammatical Portuguese.
