こんにちは! ! I have tried over a few years to learn and retain Japanese, but with gaps in time and not having ways to practice the language, I continue to lose what little progress I make. I have had a personal desire to be able to speak the language for a decade, but have more incentive recently, as my long-term partner is half Japanese with family living in Japan that we may finally get a chance to visit within the next year or so. I would love to make a good impression and be able to speak with them. I also know learning this language would broaden my ability to meet new people.
As of right now I am a beginner and know I can at least dedicate an evening a week to a session with a teacher. After feeling things out I can assess time to set aside as I continue. I am hoping to find a teacher than can help me with learning how to have conversation mostly and some basic writing so I can read signs and such in Japan. I do have some books to work in in between lessons, such as the Genki workbook.

I am currently enrolled in an online university to learn Chinese; however, I live in a small town and don't really have anyone to practice with or use what I learn. I hope to one day be able to interpret, so I would appreciate a teacher who helps me with my listening/spe aking and pronunciation . I am somewhere in the (beginner) intermediate range.
Because I am working and studying at the same time, my schedule varies from week to week, so it would be great if my teacher is flexible with the schedule. I would like to start off with one hour lessons once a week.

I'm learning Thai because I'm planning to live there! I'm an complete beginner and while I want to learn to read Thai language my first focus is on conversation. Depending on lesson cost, I'd like to dedicate 2 to 3 hours per week on lessons with additional time on language exchange and self study. I'd prefer to work with a teacher who will teach me similarly to how one would teach a toddler, vividly describing pictures from magazines and books for children in Thai, asking me simple 'yes' or 'no' questions and not correcting mistakes.

I would like to take live online classes 1-2 times a week after 7:30 p.m. MST on weekdays with 2+ other students seeking to improve and build on their conversationa l Mandarin Chinese. I am interested in learning conversationa l Chinese only (no writing).On a scale of 1-10, 1 being an absolute beginner and 10 being native Chinese, I am at about a 3.
