i can read and write arabic reasonably well. i can understand mainly egyptian arabic. proficiency level - lower intermediate. i need to learn to at least upper intermediate level. oh, and i need to learn also modern standard arabic

I have a basic knowledge of Arabic letters and very elementary grammar. I am very motivated and wish to learn modern standard Arabic as well as Qur'anic Arabic. I can read arabic with the vowels and have a basic vocabularly. Thus I am not a complete beginner but I am not intermediate either.

I am wanting to learn Arabic, Middle Eastern for career advancement and I've always wanted to be able to speak and understand a foreign language. I am most definitely a beginner I know nothing about the language and very little about the culture. I would like to be able to speak and listen to where I can hold a conversation. I would also like to be able to read and write. I was looking to take some classes at UNT but I believe you have to crawl before you can walk so I think it would be to fast paced of a setting for me.
