Beginner. My fiance and I are considering teaching overseas in North Africa or the Middle East. We want to begin learning Arabic now while we are still in the Chicago area. We will be getting married in Feb '06 and most likely leaving for overseas a year later, '07. We'd be interested in beginning lessons after we are married (Spring '06)

I am interested in beginner Hindi to help converse better with friends from India. I am also interested in learning grammar and writing properly. I live in Westchester and teach school in the Bronx, so the location has to be easily accessible for me by public transportatio n. I am currently a beginner for the Russian Language
I want to learn Russian as I will be travelling to Minsk sometime next year.
I need advice on which books to study and the best method to get started inorder to learn as quickly and efficiently as possible.
Perhaps 3 times a week, tutoring. Studying by myself 1 hour per day.
I would like the teacher to have had past experience in teaching others and is well-informed regarding learning the basics first, so that I can start using standard sentences to convey my thoughts.
