I am a raw beginner when it comes to learning Italian and though a teacher of English myself I am not, alas, a good language learner so I have decided that rather than plough through a book myself it would be best for my motivation to have lessons. I feel I need all round teaching, ie speaking, grammar, listening etc. How much time I can dedicate to my language lessons depends on the cost and this can be looked at at a later date. As for qualities in a teacher, well above all patience and constructive criticism.
