Hi I am mary and I am a beginner level french student. I use the term student loosly as have been teaching myself for the last two months with a little help from some freinds i have met.
I am 50 years young and have always wanted to learn french and figure you can teach an old dog new tricks :) I will spend 1-2 hours a day if not more to practice and take lessons.
I am looking for an older teacher preferably over 40 either male or female who has the time to put up with me :) I would appreciate one either in New Zealand or Australia as time difference make it very difficult to get lessons from anyone in the northern hemisphere... .though I would make the time if I need to.

Absolute beginner - minimal previous knowledge, but some vocabulary derived from swallowing dictionary!
Will be spending Christmas in Finland with my daughter-in-l aw's parents, and plan to spend longer period early in 2010 after this. Need broad base to enhance social contact.
Wou ld be prepared to spend three hours per week.
I have a good memory for languages, but will learn much quicker if taught rather than having to learn by myself.
