Hello. I'd like to move to Iceland, or at least visit. I hope to become proficient in the language before I get there. Right now I am a beginner, using Google Translate in my attempts to learn. I'd like to be able to read well, and converse adequately to get my basic thought across. I like to know the roots of words, and the subtle differences between words that mean almost the same thing. And of course voice is important, I need to know how the language actually sounds. I'd like to take my time learning gradually, but have a thorough understanding at the end. Maybe a tutor who can devote as much time/energy to it as an average college course, over several semesters. I would be taking a college class if I could find one. Lastly, I would appreciate someone affordable. I'm only on SSI, I can't pay as much as I'd like to for a proper learning experience. But I am serious about this, I'll do what I must to make it work.
