I am writing this for two people. I am requesting information for myself as well as my 19 yr. old son. We both want to travel to Syria to study Arabic there. I am at the level of beginner intermediate or beginner advanced and he is at beginner.
We both want to learn for career advancement although I think he also is just excited to travel and do something together with his father.
Areas we need improvement in? all of it frankly. I would like to be able to speak fluently, to understand easily and translate whatever I read or hear into English. Eventually I want to speak ARabic well enough to be able to teach at the high school or college level; eventually.
I would like to study in classroom for three hours a day five days a week. I hope to find a school very soon as it was my desire to be in Syria before the end of the year.
In my teacher I hope to find someone that is a very effective and patient teacher. A person that is happy to be doing what he is doing.

I need to improve in every area of the Language. I just started teaching myself using various tools in February this year.
Less on time could be about 2 or 3 hours a week. If the instructor thinks this is sufficient time.

It's not for me, it's actually for my 4-year old daughter. I am half filipino and I understand the language, but I would love to have my little girl learn and understand the language as well. My mom who is filipino hesitated to teach my daughter the language. So if you are unable to teach at that age, can you pls direct me to someone who can? I would appreciate the time. I would want her to learn twice a week 1-2 hours each day. Thank you!
