I am learning Mandarin because I have always been interested in the country and the language. I am a beginner. I have some books and cds but need someone to help me with tones, grammar, vocabulary and characters. I can commit to a few hours a week either in person or over the phone. I have just recently began learning Mandarin Chinese. I only know how to say a few phrases, count to 10, and have went over the different dialects. I have a passion as well as a strategic business purpose to learn Chinese. Later on in my career I may need to utilize Chinese in the day to day workplace and would like to begin learning now. I am available most evenings after 6pm and am willing to dedicate an 4-6 hours each week. I basically want to learn the language that is most used in business transactions and meetings.
