Hi all
Why:
I am looking to study polish for my girlfriend, she is from a polish background and the language and culture is very important to her, so I wish for it to be important to me as well.
I am having real issues finding a polish teacher down in Hobart so although I would prefer a face to face teaching style (I work better face to face) I am more than happy to do online if it means I may get somewhere.
Proficiency :
I am a beginner in the polish language, I have grabbed a couple of learn polish books from the library with limited success but I would benefit from a structured course/plan, I can speak maybe 10-15 words, I can understand a few more but do not remember how to say them until they are said to me.
Improvement :
I need improvement in all areas but as it has been pointed out to me I have issues pronouncing words.
Time:
As much time as needed to get a basic grasp on the language to be able to speak enough to have a conversation with someone in polish.
Qual ities:
Someon e who is patient as I am not the fastest learning student.

My husband is Polish and I would like to learn Polish to communicate with his family and friends. I am at a beginners level - I can carry on some basic conversation but I would still need an overview of grammar and of course conversation and vocabulary. I recently completed Pimsleur's beginners polish and am now doing Michel Thomas's Polish foundation course. However, I feel I have more time now than I will in the coming years and so would really like to get a solid foundation of Polish and think I need personal or small group lessons to achieve that goal. I can dedicate 2 hours a week to class time (in one session). I'm looking for a patient native Polish speaker and other than that, have no concrete specification s.

My family is originally from Poland and I am 3rd generation American. The Polish speakers in my family have since passed away. Before my grandfather died I promised him I would learn the language but I put it off for about 10 years. So...I know a few words in Polish but that's it. My proficiency level is beginner. I cannot afford weekly lessons but would like to have at least two lessons a month with study materials in between.

I´m working in Poland for the 1st time and I do not understand a word from Polish. I’m interested in learning polish in a day to day conversation starting as a beginner and improving it finally to technical point of view.
I´m staying 2/ 3 days per week in hotels in Warsaw.
I need flexibility for the lessons, and the lessons should take place in the hotel that I will be staying and preferentiall y in the evening after normal working hours .
The scheduling of the lessons should be agreed from one week to another.
I´m looking forward for a private one to one lessons, and I would like to have a teacher that should be objective, patient, tolerant and native polish
