I studied arabic in middle school, but mostly I studied Quran. I can read and write proficiently, and I also studied a year of arabic in college. Although I do have a basic knowledge of grammer and sentence structure I do not feel that my ability to form sentences verbally is as good as it could be. I know this comes from not using the language often. I am interested in increasing my vocabulary, and having as much conversation as possible. I need repitition so that I get used to thinking in Arabic. My reasons for learning Arabic are more personal. My mother is muslim and I just love the language. I hope to dedicate at least two or three hours a week with a tutor I also study independantly . I intend on taking classes again but I will not be able to take them until summer and I do not want to forget until then.
I am interested in a teacher that is patient and will take the time to go over things until I feel comfortable. I also want to be as efficient as possible with the time.
