I am a Beginner level applicant. I want to learn Spanish so I may be able to use it later on in life, and so that when I visit Puerto Rico I will be able to speak the language. I need to improve on every area, because I am a beginner. I want to dedicate time after school and on the weekends to improve my Spanish speaking skills. I would like the teacher to be nice, fluent in their skills, patient, and fun. I want the lessons to be understandabl e and have test to actually test the knowledge learned. I also want the lessons to be affordable.

I have taken a couple of spanish classes over the last few years, but I am ready to get serious about learning. I have many reasons to learn to speak Spanish: my heritage is Spanish; I think everyone should be able to speak more than one language; I manage bilingual people; and I think it would be fun to learn!! And did I mention that I was going to Spain in Oct?!?!
I am willing to dedicate 4-6 hours per week and looking for private lessons or a small group. I want an instructor who has experience teaching and knows how to make learning fun. I prefer someone for whom Spanish is their first language.

I am interested in learning Spanish so that I can converse with business associates and friends. Weekly or bi-weekly lessons are of interest to me, however this could vary depending on travel. I will have the opportunity to practice with several people who are either proficient or learning the language.
I have a technical undergraduate degree and a masters in business and am an executive with a large corporation. One-on-one lessons are appealing so that I can advance at my pace. Written materials would be needed to support the lessons and for use in studying/prac ticing.

Proficiency level: Studied Japanese language at University of Maryland University Colleges for 7 semesters, Fussa-shi, Japan. But, have forgotten many Kanjis and wish to reclaim my level of proficiency.
I am learning because I want to become fluent in Japanese and to also make my self more marketable in the job market.
I need improvement in Kanji, the proper use of particles. Also, my conversationa l skills have diminished considerably.
I work full-time and am also a grad student. I can meet in person on the weekends.
I need a teacher that is proficient in teaching, and lessons where I will have measurable results and noticeable progress.
