I run a real estate consulting firm that is doing an increasing amount of business in Brazil and I have been trying to learn Portuguese over the past month or so. I have been using the Pimsleur language programs as I drive back and forth to work and Rosetta stone software at night. I feel like I am getting the hang of the language structure, grammar, vocabulary, etc., but I need someone to help me with pronunciation and general conversation. I will be going to Brazil in early November, so it would be great if I could make some improvement by then. I work on North Michigan Avenue and live up in Evanston. I am generally very busy during the day, so the best time for me would be late in the afternoon or early evenings during the week. Hopefully we can work something out.

I lived in Lisbon for the last 3 years and have enjoyed learning. I am an intermediate, able to talk quite well. I would like to be able to work in Portuguese in the future. I find it difficult to listen and understand. On evening per week, 2 hour lesson. I am looking for a teacher who is fun, relaxed, happy to talk who is flexible and makes the lessons interesting. I'd like the teacher to come to my house for lessons.
My two children has studied portuguese also and my wife and I would like them to continue when they move to melbourne in january. The school does not offer Portuguese, but we would like them to continue to learn.

I know a good amount of Spanish and very little French. I pick up languages very quickly. I would like to learn Portuguese as my mother in law, my boyfriend and his entire family speak it fluently.
