I am an American English speaker, and I have no previous experience learning Tamil. I am beginning the study of Tamil language in preparation for my graduate studies. It is my intention on spending 4-6 months in Tamil Nadu in a full emersion language environment, beginning in late August or early September. I am seeking a culturally knowledgeable tutor with previous teaching experience who can offer a structured and rigorous course of instruction in beginning Tamil. I wish to master the Tamil alphabet and basic grammatical forms, develop accurate pronunciation and basic conversationa l and reading skills. I would prefer one-on-one tutoring, and would prefer lessons two hours a day, four days a week, with every fourth week off to allow travel in the surrounding areas. I am willing to work with more than one tutor in order to satisfy my learning needs. I would prefer to be based in the area of Chennai.

i am just begining..... ......I have come to really enjoy the falvor of islam......al tho I never intend on becoming a muslim....... I am chrsitian.... ..I wear the abayas and duapattas and hijab pins..I dont cover my head...but i enjoy the clothing..i have started ana arabic course......b ut would like to meet with someone 1 or 2 times a month to practice..wha t i am learning....i live in the mountains of upper Idaho...near kellogg idaho......i travel to spokane a couple times a month.

I am a beginner in the language. I know some of the basic stuff; but feel like I can do better with some guidance and help of a proffesional.
I think this language is an interesting one; after hopefully accomplishing to master this language, I will look on to learn 3 others such as: Italian, French, and Portuguese.
I feel the main areas are pronunciation , conversation, and grammar/writt ing.
I will put as much as needed. But also depending on cost, arrangements can be made. I will be needing to be homeschooled since I feel I will do better in private lessons and more one on one time.
The qualities I look for in a teacher are the following:
M ake learning fun and exciting.
Tr y their best to get me to speak the foreign language fluently.
Gi ve me some pointers and tips on how to be successful with the language.
To be a teacher who is challenging. Challenges me in various learning aspects.

Hello. I am trying to learn very fluint Croatian. I am somewhat of a beginner. I know the pronounciatio ns of the alphabet and simple words and phrases. The reason I want to learn Croatian is that my girlfriend is Croatian and none of her family speaks english, therefore, I have no way of communcating with her family. She and I have plans for the future together and communicating with her family is very important. I would like to be fluint in all aspects of the language as much as possible. My schedule changes quite a bit, but I would like to spend a lot of my time in learning the language so that I would learn faster and have a better understanding of the language. However, I may be moving to Ft. Myers, FL in the next few months with her. In a teacher, all that I would really ask is for patience and being able to explain the rules of the language on why some things are said the way they are or what the rules are in why you change the text or grammar of the words. Also, in a teacher, speaking freely with one another to become a trustworthy friendship is important. Thank you for you time. Please, help me.
