I had three years of Latin in high school, 1965-1968. I feel I have forgotten most of it but think it might return somewhat quickly. Consequently, I prefer individual tutoring rather than an organized class because I am not a true 'beginner'.
I need Latin because it is a prerequisite for a future advanced degree program.
I want to emphasize grammar and vocabulary -- since I need only a reading knowledge of Latin.
I have sabbatical time January through May 2007, when my time will be my own.

I am looking to be tutored in learning the Russian language. I live in the Placer County area near Sacramento, CA. and want to have several in-person lessons per week. I am engaged to a Russian woman who has very little English skills so I need to find us a happy medium. My tutor does not have to have certified teaching credentials; just the ability to instruct me on every day conversation in the Russian language.

Hello,
I am a beginner for Mandarin Chinese. I studied by books and computer for about a year 5 years ago and I would like to return to my studies, but I need guidance and practice. Ever since the 8th grade in junior high school my passion for learning other languages is growing. I speak Russian fluently and am currently studying Spanish. (Self taught by books) I really enjoy learning foreign languages because I can help more people. In the future I would like to be an ESL (english as a second language) teacher. I have volunteered many hours at an adult education school and I have noticed that people appreciate my help and I enjoy helping them. I study foreign languages about 40 hours a week. I read flash cards as I travel, work, eat,etc. I only looking for a teacher who will push me to learn even faster.
