Hi my name is ShuJen Y. Walker, and I am interested in learning Mandarin Chinese, because it is a part of my heritage. My mother is Taiwanese, which makes me half Taiwanese. I have taken 2 Semesters at San Diego City College about 3 years ago. My family and I recently took a trip to Taiwan for 3 weeks to visit relatives. I had a really great time seeing my cousins for the first time in 15 years, but the only problem was the language barrier. I tried to study what I learned in school before I went, but I realized that I had forgotten most of it. This to me was very disappointing . I am really interested in speaking Mandarin Chinese fluently and I'm looking for a tutor to help me accomplish this. I am looking for a teacher who focuses mostly on speaking the language fluently. I also have a sister who is interested in learning Mandarin Chinese as well. So it'll be two of us ready to learn.

My wife and want to learn Hungarian. My dfamily is from a small town just outside of Buda and we recently visited Budapest. We would like to learn the language because we made many friends while we were there and plan to visit regularly. We would like to learn in person from a native so that out accent will be minimal.

I am somewhat of a beginner in the language of Vietnamese. My wife is from a town near Saigon (Lai Thieu). We travel there from time to time. I want to become proficient in speaking as well as writing. I would prefer a native teacher that came from the Southern part of Vietnam. I am a beginning learner to German. I have no experience at all with the language. My four year old daughter will be starting at the Atlanta International Scool in the fall in their German program. Since I know she will progress at a much faster pace than I will I would like to start learning now. I will spend as much time as needed to be able to at the very least understand the language and speak simple sentences. I am looking for a teacher who can work with me mostly on nights or weekends and who is negotiable with their prices. I am a single mother in graduate school so I do not have a lot of extra money to spend. However, helping my daughter to learn the language is important to me.
