I am a filipino with a good foundation on english both in oral and written. However, when I visited Holland several times, having good knowledge of english is not sufficient to easily communicate to dutch people.
I will be spending my vacation for 4 weeks in Manila and I want to spend my time learning new language primarily the Dutch language.

I am still a beginner but I've always wanted to learn Dutch fluently since marrying a man from Friezland. I took one beginner course in New York in 2003, but we moved a year later so I didn't continue there. I have a lot of books and tapes, but my motivation has slacked since my husband speaks good English and doesn't seem to care that much whether I know it or not. But I want to learn anyway so I can speak with his parents and friends one day. If I am in a class I will be more motivated to learn. There was a class years ago in D.C. where someone was teaching up near the Washington zoo, but nothing has materialized when I did this internet search. Hopefully, someone out there knows of a class. Thanks in advance for any information!
