i have had one year of farsi classes that was not accredited and have been speaking farsi for years at home.i am interested in taking the equivalent of 2-4 years of accredited farsi for college requirements in the next year or two. i am able to dedicate only Saturdays from October to June and all days from the beginning of July to August, however my times are flexible. the teacher must be accredited and living close to the los angeles area.

Beginner.
I was always interested in the Persian culture. I would like to be able to talk, understand, and read Farsi. I would like to have either an hour of private tutoring, or two hours per week.
The teacher must be patient and love to teach.

We have openings for two Dari language instructors in the Washington, DC area to provide basic, intermediate and advanced Dari language instruction to U.S. government and other personnel. The instructors will also assist with the evaluation of students and academic counseling. These are full time, temporary positions starting April 6, 2009, and continuing through July 10, 2009. An extension of this period is possible.
The required experience includes:
* Three years experience teaching Dari to adults.
* Native fluency in the required language.
* Fully knowledgeable of the target culture and current usage of the language.
* Solid experience in language education and methodology and adult education.
* Extensive experience preparing and presenting language platform instruction within a learning center environment.
* A degree in the language, teaching methodology or a related field; or comparable directly-rela ted work experience is a definite plus.
* Must have authorization to work in the U.S.
* U.S. citizenship not required.
* Security clearance is not required but will instructors must complete a Public Trust form.

My level of farsi is a begginer i used to take classes when i was younger and got up to a third grade level but completely forgot it all. I would love to learn the language to be able to speak with family.
