Czech School in New York is looking for Czech teachers. We offer an after-school Czech language program to children 5-14 years of age. Successful candidates will speak Czech fluently, have experience teaching children, possess strong collaborative skills and commitment to cultural education. College degree and a U.S work permit are required. Czech or U.S teaching certification is preferred but not necessary. Start September 2009. Are there any Private English Schools/Colle ges in the area such as Elvis, Languages at Work, Calcedonia, or anything like that. I attended Winfield College in Cheb, but wanted to visit another school in your area and lean to speak Czech. I want to learn to speak first so I can be a better English teacher. My proficiency level is beginner, I would like to learn Czech as i wish to move to the Czech Republic next year. By the end of the year, i would like to be knowledgable in basic grammar, conversation etc. At the moment, i would like a 2 hour block a week and possibly more towards the end of the year. In a teacher, i look for a friendly personality who does an informal type of lesson and adds more in the lessons ie. history of the country etc.
