I lived in China (Guangzhou) for 2 1/2 years, and loved every minute of my time there. I would like to continue my learning of this language.I have basic skills in Chinese, but would like to build on this so I can use it in business in the future.
I am willing to spend up to 3 nights a week studying this language, and would hope that my teacher will be as eager to teach me Chinese as I am to learn it.
I am Australian, and for me, one of the hardest parts of the Chinese language was perfecting my tones, I know that this is an area that I need to work on. Further to that, having some one to speak Chinese with on a regular basis will be highly beneficial to retaining all Chinese I learn.

Hi,
I am a multi-lingual musician that loves learning languages and travelling. I would like to use this site to learn/practic e several languages including French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Hindi and Farsi. I have spent most of my life learning the basics of these languages and I hope to get better, or at least maintain what I have.
I have taken Spanish lessons online before and I am convinced that online education is the future.
I would like to start with one hour per week with a few languages. My main focus right now is Hindi and I would like to take a 1 hour class per day.
I am a serious student and have no problem paying for a class that I miss.

I am wanting to learn Manderian Chinese,becau se I plan on living in Beihai in the near future.Im going to visit Beihai within 45 days..I will be a beginner,even though I have some Manderian CD's I have taken lessons from....
C onversation,wi ll be my main interest at first..to be able to have everyday conversations with the locals.....
Spending at least 2hrs per day,4 days a week would be fine..
No special qualities for teacher,as long as he/she knows there subject and can teach beginnerslike myself....
