I have 10 yrs of German study at University level. I haven't been able to use the language in some time, so I'm wanting to improve proficiency. I can carry on a simple conversation with my current level.
I'd like to gain fluency in the next couple of years, because of my german ancestry and for business reasons. I would prefer to take 1 1/2 hours per week, in one session, or two 1-hour sessions. Since I travel often, I would choose the former.
Pr incipal need: improve conversation !! Also, review grammar, improve vocabulary and reading comprehension . A bit of everything. Can meet in office (Boca Raton), at my home (Ft.Lauderdal e) or teacher's home.
Qual ities in a teacher: Dynamic, with creative formula to teach language.

I am a recent graduate of a top-tier university and am currently seeking employment overseas in the Middle East and Asia. I have a strong desire to learn as much Arabic and Mandarin as I can in the next few months before I depart.
I seek teachers who are able to teach quickly, effectively, and conveniently. Additionally, since I have never studied either of these languages before I would like to have teachers who could devote more time to me than just an hour or two a week. Finally, native speakers are preferred (for accent coaching purposes), but I am willing to consider non-natives, as well.

I am a beginner in both Arabic and Mandarin. I have studied neither before but have a great desire to learn as much as I can in a few months. I recently graduated from a top-tier university and am currently seeking employment overseas (in either the Middle East or Asia). As a result, I have the motivation to learn these languages and a lot of free time in which to do so.
I am looking for a teacher who can teach me quickly, effectively, and conveniently. Since I only have a few months, I also would prefer someone who is able to dedicate more than just one or two hours a week to me. Finally, it would be nice to have a native speaker as a teacher, for accent coaching, but it is not necessary.

I just returned from my 2nd trip to France and aspire to retire there. I hope to return for another visit within 2 years and to havae mastered as much of the language as possible by then.
I am 53 years old, took French for 6 years in grade/high school (grades 7-12) and periodically at local JCs throughout my adult years. My last formal training was about 10 years ago. And of course without speaking it regularly have lost all but the fundamentals.
I have a good ear for language and have been complimented fequently by natives in France on my pronounciatio n.
I do have limited time so may only be able to devote a few hours a month at least initially. Am open to semi-private lessons with others who are at about the same level as I am.
I am seeking a teacher who is patient, proficient and enthusiastic.
I look forward to hearing from you.
