I would like to improve on my language speaking skills in portuguese (basic/interm ). I am good at comprehension and i have some writing skills but i need improvement with conversation and grammar. I am looking for a teacher who is patient and excited about the language and excited teaching his/her students. I would like to attend group classes at least 2-3 hrs 2-3 times a week. If there is a possiblity for one on one I would prefer that also.

I want to gain conversationa l fluency in Portuguese for business and social purposes over the next year while living in Mexico City. I am currently at a beginning level of speaking Portuguese. I have purchased the 'Teach yourself Portuguese' Book and CDs to help me. I have also purchased a grammar and a '501 verb' book to assist with my endeavor. I can dedicate three to five hours per week on Portuguese lessons. I need some assistance in learning to improve my conversationa l skills. Right now, I understand a few words that are spoken to me and I need to improve that, as well as my pronunciation .
