Well I like to improve and learn more Japanese because I like the the country and the culture, I already have been in Japan and I plan to visit again in the future when I can communicate better. I have been studying for five years Japanese, in a very casual way. My classes had been 2 hours per week. Unfortunately my teacher is moving out of Austin, so I will like to continue with my classes. I dont know my level. I can keep my conversation, write in hiragan, katakana and now I am learning KAnji.

Description |
I became interested in Japanese language and culture during my 5 years as a US Navy musician in Yokosuka. After that, I attended Penn State University and graduated with double majors in Advertising and East Asian Studies. At the time of my graduation, I had finished the Genki 2 textbook, but since that time my ability has gotten a little rusty!
I want to develop all areas of my Japanese facility; enough that I can have the fluency to work for a Japanese company. I have a wonderful Japanese girlfriend (Mariko), and hope to live with her in Tokyo someday.
I 'm a serious student and am prepared to devote several hours a day to my studies. Ideally, I'd like to have lessons once a week, maybe every other. As for qualities in a teacher, I'd like one who is tough but fun at the same time.

Description |
I am currently trying to learn Japanese. So far, i am only a beginner with a knowledge of a few basic vocabulary words and phrases, though i do know some hiragana. As of now, i would like to improve on grammer, conversation, and levels of formality. I am willing to dedicate an hour to an hour and a half on weekdays as my weekends are busy, although upon request, my parents may let me study longer. The things I look for in a teacher is a fun yet effective way to learn the lesson in order to make it easier to remember the information.

Description |
I am interested in learning Japanese, Korean, and in time, Mandarin Chinese. I have always been interested in Eastern Asian culture and would like to be able to understand and communicate in these languages.
In all three languages, I am relatively a beginner. I can read and write in Hangul, however, my understanding of the language is limited to a few phrases. In Japanese, I am able to have a basic conversation (Hello, nice to meet you, how are you, who, what), but I can read and write very little of the language. I have had a few Mandarin classes in the past, but I am still a beginner; I can only read and write three characters, and can have a VERY basic conversation in the language.

Description |
Hello! I'm Corielle. I would like to learn Japanese because when im old enough , and understand the language well, I plan on becoming a resident in Japan. I'm looking for a really good Japanese instructor . I've been trying to learn Japanese for a year , But I still only know Basics . (introduction , numbers , greetings etc.) So I still consider myself Beginner. Since my family runs low on money quickly , I'll only be available on Saturdays. And what we can afford at this time is $20. $30 max for lessons (for 1 hour). The kind of instructor I'm looking for , is someone who has alot of patience. This is because I have trouble with pronouncing syllables in Japanese. And someone who makes sure im understanding the lesson/area they are teaching .All I would like is to learn to speak somewhat fluently. To level Intermediate. The areas I would like to focus on are: Months , Years , and days in Japanese , starting a normal/friend ly conversation , and learning about sentence structure and Kanji characters .
