I am a beginner.
I'm not sure why I want to learn Ukrainian. I lived in the Czech Republic for a year and made quite a few Ukrainian friends there. I'm interested in learning a language that uses a non-Roman alphabet. I am also toying with the idea of going to like in Ukraine.
I need improvement in everything, though grammar is probably weakest. Ukrainian shares some vocab with Czech, so I already know some very basic words.
I'd like an hour or two a week.
My teacher should have experience teaching language, and he or she should have some solid language learning materials.

i am a beginner in ukrainian, i have never learnt any of the language. i want to learn this language because my grandad was ukrainian and i would like to go to his homeland and i would need the langauge to communicate there. plus, i like the sound of the langauge and i think it would be a great boost to my confidence and my ability. as i have never learnt the language, i need improvement in all areas and i would be willing to dedicate about 1-3 hrs a week to learn it. i am looking for a teacher who is confident in teaching and is fluent in the language. i would prefer a teacher who is clear as to what needs to be learnt and what needs 2 b improved on and the lessons need to be clear and organised with a set structure. the teacher should be friendly so i can feel at ease to ask any questions and to have overall confidence in the teacher and in the language being taught
