I am very interested in learning another language, specifically Urdu. I would like to start to learn this language now so when I travel in the future I could be properly prepared. Also, I would like to be able to communicate with a close friend of mine and their family from Pakistan. I am a beginner and would need improvement in most areas if anyone is up to the challenge. But I am very hard-working and would try to learn quick. I would dedicate however much time is needed into learning this language because i hope to be proficient one day. Patience is always a virtue in a teacher for me and I would like a teacher who would be as dedicated to teaching as I am to learning. I have multiple reasons for learning urdu;
1. Portions of my family both close and extended can not peak in anything other than Urdu or Kachi(Memoni) , it is for this reason i feel it is essential for me to learn Urdu. How can I fulfil their rights over me if I cannot even communicate with them. Therefore being able to hold a conversation is of utmost importance.
2. There is great islamic literature written in the Urdu language, as an aspiring student of knowledge - I wish this literature to be opened for me.
May Allah Grant my success in that.
My Proficiency Level in Urdu: almost no understanding of the language, save a few words common with Arabic and/or Kachi.
Exp ected Time Dedicated: I would like to spend 3-5 hours a week learning Urdu bithnillahi ta'ala. I also hope that my teacher for this can be flexible as I have to balance this with my various other endeavours, the coming years I expect to be very busy for me.
My Teacher: I hope that my teacher will understand the reasons I am learning Urdu and customize the course to that regard. I lead a very busy life and I hope that my instructor will be able to give me support in that regard, giving me the flexibility necessary to enable to to fulfil all my obligations in that regard.
