W e, (my wife and I) are going to be moving to Mozambique and the spoken language is Portuguese.
We need to learn all areas of the language particularly conversation.
We will dedicate one year to this.

-I have studied Portuguese independently for about 2 years now, on and off. I spent one month in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil Summer 06'. There, my Portuguese improved dramatically! I am still very interested in persuing Portuguese, and hope to master the language quickly, and with little difficulty.
-I have always been done very well learning new languages. I speak fluent Spanish as well, and feel I have an ear for new languages, speaking tiny bits of other languages.
- I need particular help in verb development, with specific focus on appropraite conjugation in different tenses.
-I am willing to dedicate anywhere from one to two hours at a time to my language lessons.
-I am looking for a friendly, open teacher. Someone who is either native to Brasil or has spent time there, and is thus culturally savvy. Flexibility is also a plus.

Hello, I am interested in learning to speak Portuguese as I have an opportunity to live in Portugal and need to learn to communicate with others. I would be a 'beginner' in terms of learning as I do not speak a word of Portuguese. I would be able to dedicate once a week for lessons although unsure what is standard in terms of lesson lenghth ie:one hour, two hours per week? I'd like to learn to speak relatively fluent Portugese, able to have a conversation with others with ease. I am looking for a teacher who will have patience, professionali sm and an easy going personality. I am dedicated to learning this language and will take lessons seriously.
