I would like to learn languages for professional use. My proficiency is beginner. All areas are very important; reading, writing, and speaking. I can dedicate up to 8 hours to language training per week although 6 is probably more realistic. I am currently living in India and when I return to California I would very much like to continue with developing my Hindi skills. Learning new languages is a personal interest of mine. I am currently at an absolutely beginner level. I would like to gain a greater understanding of Hindi grammer in particular as I feel that this will allow me to better use my vocabulary. As a graduate student I do not have a tremendous amount of time to dedicate to language learning, perhaps 3 hours per week. To be honest the number one concern for me in finding a teacher is someone who is affordable and who can work with my busy schedule.
