I have been working on a long term goal to walk the camino de Santiago de Compostela with a friend. I am in charge of language, so I need to learn enough Spanish to facilitate the trip so we can fit into local culture and step outside a strictly tourist view of the country. I am fluent in English, French and German and am currently studying the Rosetta Stone Spanish suite on my computer. What I need is an opportunity to speak conversationa l Spanish with native speakers. My level is still quite rudimentary (vocabulary and basic sentence lessons) as I've just started the Rosetta Stone lessons and am not as diligent as I should be about spending 40 minutes a day on it. Classroom lessons would give me an organized scheduled event to focus my learning and stop procrastinati ng. Oh, by the way, the trip is scheduled for September 2011 so I need to get on with this.

I am learning Spanish to work globally. I have experience working in Peru in Spanish in the context of public health and will be doing a one month medical elective in Costa Rica this summer. My current level is upper intermediate. I want to keep learning more advanced grammar and medical vocabulary. I would also specifically like to practice conducting patient interviews in Spanish.
I want to take lessons for at least two hours a week and maybe a bit more frequently leading up to my elective in the summer.

I am looking to have a career working international ly and I want to have a beginner-inte rmediate knowledge of several languages other than french and english. I would one day like to speak french fluently. I pick up languages quickly-I spent six months in Tanzania and was speaking semi-fluent in swahili. I would like to continue with those skills as well however I feel its more important to have fundamentals in a broader language. I have no experience in spanish or mandarin. I am most concerned about conversing in the languages and not as much in written however I would still like a bit of skill that way. I would like to do maybe two hours a week of in class and then study on my own. I am pretty easy going and I learn best through flash cards, repetition and practicing through conversing.
