Hello possible teachers. My mother, sister and I would like to learn the language of dutch. The reason for this is that my mother's parents immigrated from Holland to Canada, and we would like to learn the language of our heritage. I am currently half way through a beginners course in Dutch for written and conversation. I live and work in Venlo, Holland, so ideally I would like to have a private tutor and continue with the rest of my course. My listening skills are good and my reading skills are better then my written and speech abilities. I would need support in all of these fields. I would like to dedicate 1 night a week to private tuition, lasting at least 1 and a half to two hours maximum per week. I may increase the amount of lessons per week or the time length of the lesson later, this entirely depends on the improvements I make. The qualities I am looking for in a teacher is someone who has excellent knowledge of the English language, and will ulitmately be able to strengthen my confidence in speaking and understanding dutch well.

Dutch would be learnt at a beginner's level as I have not attempted to learn this language before. I would like to learn this language as I plan to live and work in the Netherlands. The areas I find which I need to focus on the most are grammar and pronunciation . I would dedicate as much time as I cold spare to learning this language, putting in all my effort to learn this language to the best of my abilities. I would be looking for a great understanding not only in conversationa l language but in the written language also.
