I study Literae Humaniores (Classical Philology and Philosophy) and Oriental Studies with Arabic in my third year at Oxford. Last term I took up classes in MSA at university. Before that I spent six weeks in Cairo at the International Language Institute. At Oxford we are working with 'A new Arabic Grammar' by Haywood and Nahmed and we have covered about half of it so far (i.e. all tenses, moods, adjectives, some nouns, comparison etc.) in 6 weeks. Next term we will start on reading the Qur'an. The pace of the class requires intense study over the holidays and I sometimes find myself at a loss when I do not understand something and I have no one to ask. Especially helpful would be discussion of the mazeed forms of the verb. Thus, as I will be spending the week from 3. to 10. January in Tunis, I am looking for someone who would tutor me for two or three hours a day, all six or seven days if possible. I would bring my books and I would be happy to do homework we could go through together in class. As I go along in my revision I am making notes of questions I have; I would bring those as well. Of course it would be fun to practice some spoken Arabic as well to put some life into the study of grammar.

I got to an intermediate level in French after infrequent study during high school. I am now living in Tunis and would like to get my French up to the same level as it was when I finished studying French 8 years ago. I would describe myself as a mid-level beginner who needs some help to get up to an intermediate standard.
I would like to focus on conversation. I am preferably looking for two 2-hour classes per week, but I can be flexible depending on the teacher's requirements.
I am looking for a friendly, fun teacher who can teach me informal, conversationa l French.
