My fiance is from the middle east and speaks fluent egyptian arabic. In the future when we have kids we would like them to speak the language as well, in order for this to happen I will need to learn too. I have taken a semester of MSA at a community college in Denver and also have taken about 6 months worth of private tutoring focusing more on egyptian arabic. My strengths are I pick up on the functionality and rules of the language quick, however my vocabulary needs much help. Please let me know if you are available on weekends or after work on weekdays.

I am a young Egyptian, born and raised in london, and therefore my arabic speaking skills are minimal but seen as i go egypt every year i have adapted their pronounciatio ns, along with a few sentences and phrases, and i would love to take the language to a whole new level, i've always loved the language but have never found the time to learn it, however due to current situation in egypt with the uprising, i wont be going this year and have decided to sieze the oppertunity to use this summer and take arabic lessons. I am looking to learn Arabic because i am early in the process of joining a non-violent activist organization that works in Palestinian occupied territory; I will need to communicate and hold basic conversations with the people there as I plan to live in the area for at least 4 weeks.
I am a beginner with very little ability in the language. I would like to dedicate at least 8 hours per week to formal language lessons and more time for private study; I would like to be able to speak and read arabic within 6 months and I am looking for a challenging instructor who will vigorously train me in the language to reach that goal.
