I wish to apply to be one of your students. I have never learnt dutch before but I desperatly need to learn how to speak, read and be able to write dutch as i am travlling to Holland for 6 months in the near future. I will dedicate as much time as needed to learn enough to be able to communicate in Holland. The only quality I am looking for in you as a teacher is that you are patient and are able to explain fully. I hope I have convinced you to accept me as a student to teach.

I would say I am still relatively a beginner, but I have learned many words and sounds of the language quickly during my short stay here for seven months.
I am currently residing in the Netherlands and have been moderately studying their native language, Dutch. I have become extremely fond of this country and would like to possibly move here in several years after my studies. Obviously, if I live here, I want to be able to proficiently speak the native language.
I need improvement in all areas of the language. I am a rather quick learner, but I have come to realize that Dutch is a difficult language to speak and to learn due to all the exceptions. I think the most important aspect I would like to focus on is the conversation.
I will be working and attending school, so my time will be limited, but I am more than willing to meet anywhere between 1-3 times per week. I would also appreciate extra work to practice during my free time.
As for my teacher/instr uctor I am looking for a flexible, responsible and patient person. A teacher that can make me feel comfortable learning the language. Someone who will show up when expected and is dependable. Preferably someone who has lived in the Netherlands for a short/long time period (I have learned that the culture deeply influences the language here!)

These lessons would be for my five year old son. We are expatriates living in Holland for 3-5 years and I need to enable my son, Jordan to bridge the learning gap when we leave for SA or UK, when he will need to have some reading/writi ng skills in his own language.
I would make time two afternoons a week on a Wednesday and Friday (if at all convenient) otherwise any other suggestions you may have.
I would like Jordan to feel comfortable in his environment now (he is quite fluent in Dutch and plays with Dutch friends in his neighbourhood ). He will start with reading and writing soon when he moves to group 2 from Aug 23).
I would also like him to feel comfortable in his new environment (when we return to SA or UK) and not have to be held back a year once he goes back to an English speaking environment.
What advice do you have?

Dear Teacher,
It is my hearts desire to learn Dutch. I was inspired to learn Dutch ever since I heard the Dutch Language. You see, my husband's mother and father are from Holland. And even though (Heit) my husbands father, was born in the U.S. he found his wife in Holland, and she taught him the Dutch language, and she from there haught all of her 9 children the Dutch language. So ever since I've known my husband from dating, I've heard the Dutch tongue. Now, I am recently married and I find myself, still not perfecting the Dutch language. I've wondered why I still don't have a complete understanding , and I have come to the conclusion that I need to do something about it, for me, myself, and my family.
I would say that I am still at a beginners level and the areas in which I need improvement are in all of the above. I need to stop being so shy and just speak without getting embarrassed.
I would like to spend about a hour with a tutor, every Saturday. I work Tues.-Fri. and I have Sat.-Mon. off. My husband works on Saturdays, so that would be the best time for me.
And last but not least, I would like a teacher who really knows the language and has patience, mild temper, and likes to have fun once and a while.
