My name is Uli Henk and I have visited Indonesia many times in the last 15 year. I know many words in Bahasa Indonesia but I can not make a conversation. I just add words and mostly can make myself understandabl e.
I dont need the language for my profession, but I would like to be able to follow a everydays conversation and I would like to meet people who speak Indonesian language only and make a nice conversation with them, about family, about politic, economics, the newspaper, well the daily live in Indonesia, in Germany and in the word.
I am a beginner concerning grammer and the small words I need to fill up setences and to realy communicate. I am not interested in the technical finesses of the langage but in learning a practicable way of talking to strangers.
M y proble might be, that if I have a native Indonesian teacher who teaches me from English to Bahas Indonesia, that there might be a 'lost in translation', because in my head I have to translate two times, so if I could find a teacher who speaks German it would be fantastic, but if I cant find such a teacher, I would give an Englisch speaking teacher a try, no doubt about that.
I would like to come to Indonesia in February 2012 either to Yogjakarta or to Bali ( and in Bali I would prefer Singarja or Lovina better than Kuta or Denpasar ), but I am open and I have been also to Sumatra, to Timor, Flores, Lombok , Java and so on.
I would like to intensively learn 3 weeks, 5 days a week, 4 to 5 hours a day, in a very smal group or only me and the teacher.
I need someone to help me to learn the 'language of the street' fast and effectively.
