I am currently studying BA History and African Studies course at SOAS university. Kiswahili is also an optional course I have chosen. However, approaching my third year of Kiswahili, I have found this struggle. My origins are from Kenya, though born in the UK with English as my first language. I would like to improve greatly in both written and communicative language skills, though find this a challenge, especially with learning difficulties. I would say my current language proficiency is intermediate, though not so confident in oral.
I would like a professional teacher who is able to push these barriers with dedication, understanding , patience and commitment. An hour or 2 a week i feel would be sufficient before term time begins in oct.
