I am a total beginner in Turkish but expect to be spending a significant proportion of my time there and would therefore like to learn more about the language and culture. I am university educated scientist who has spent her career working in industry. My objective is to be able to speak reasonably fluently in shops etc. I am retired so allocating time to learn is not a problem. I would expect the teacher to make the lessons interesting and to set me targets each week.
