I would like to live in China and Taiwan, also looking at business opportunities and study. I am a beginner but have some basic self taught knowledge of tones and grammer and can use phrases for greetings, introduction, eating, etc. Basic though. Perhaps I know maybe 100-200 words. I dont know where to start so im not sure what needs most improvement. Considering im a beginner i would just say everything. I want to dedicate at least 30mins a day to my study and then 1-2 lessons per week on top of that. I want to study for at least 6 months. I would like a native speaker of mandarin or native taiwanese. Experience would be handy i suppose but it doesnt matter i dont think.

Ho studiato cinese in Italia, facevo lezioni una volta a settimana con un insegnante di cinese che spiegava in inglese. Credo di essere molto portata. Ho studiato tanta grammatica e conosco almeno 100 caratteri cinesi ma non sono brava nella conversazione . Mi sono trasferita a Dubai con la famiglia e vorrei continuare a studiare questa lingua meravigliosa. Potrei fare due lezioni a settimana al mattino quando i bimbi sono a scuola. I am currently going to school here in Las Vegas to receive my Bachelors degree in business. I took French for three years as a child, but the lack of commitment from my mother eventually caused my lessons to come to an end. Everything I learned slowly faded as the years passed on. I recently find myself wanting, and really needing to delve into another culture and become bilingual. So the question then became what language should I learn? I went online and although I would love to learn Italian because of my Italian heritage, I find myself more excited about learning a language that more than 1.6 billion people speak, Chinese-manda rin. I am fully committed to giving my time and efforts to a teacher that will really help me become fluent in Mandarin.
