I am a beginner. I took Spanish and French in high school but nothing since then. I am looking to travel to Brazil next year and teach English so I need to past an exam. Hi there,
I am a beginner at speaking portugese, i went to Brazil for Carnaval 2005 and learned only a few phrases and sayings over 3 weeks. I would like to be at an intermediate level by the time i go to Brazil in January 2006. I am learning this foreign language because i would like to make future business contacts in Brazil and i plan to travel back once a year as i have made several friends there. I have been using freetranslati ons.com to speak to them but i am not good at pronounciatio n. I need improvement in both grammar and pronounciatio n and would like to know enough to communicate. I am willing to dedicate 2-3 nights per week on portugese lessons. I would like a teacher that is patient and friendly as i am very weak with my portugese.
