I am a beginning Hindi student who has already learned the basics from a book called 'Teach yourself Hindi' over the past year or so. I am now travelling in India and would like to find a place to settle for a few weeks to advance my conversationa l Hindi skills with a teacher and maybe other students in an immersion environment. As I'm travelling, the location is somewhat flexible. My goal is to simply learn as much Hindi as possible to make the remaining 4 months of my stay in India more enriching. I'd like to find a learning environment with lots of opportunities for practicing speaking and listening. I appreciate a sense of humor and patience in a teacher and an atmosphere of repetition seems to help me.
