I do translations from both German and Russian literature into English. My German proficiency is at an advanced level--albeit not that of a native-speake r. My Russian is fairly good, but has become somewhat rusty because I have had very little contact with native-speake rs in recent years.
I wish to raise my overall German ability to that of a native speaker--in so far as that is possible. And I would like to improve my Russian to the point that I can carry on a fairly complex conversation in that language without the other person having to speak at an unnaturally slow rate of speed or oversimplify his/her speech.
I'm interested in having lesson of 90-minutes or two hours about once a week, and am quite prepared to do any homework deemed necessary.
My ideal teacher would be someone who has experience in teaching the language and who is ready to teach me its complexities, especially as it applies to the arts in general and literature in particular.
