My ultimate ambition is to become a polyglot. I am currently in my third semester of college, pursuing an associate's degree in general studies and a bachelor's degree in linguistics. The languages I am currently learning are French and Japanese. I have never been to France, but I have travelled to Japan in the summer of 2016 and toured Tokyo, Kyoto, Mount Fuji, Hiroshima, and Osaka. I am still at a beginner's level with the languages, although I have been studying both. I took two years of French back in high school. My memory of the language has become vague since then. I learned 2/3 of the Japanese writing system (hiragana and katakana) through my mentor who accompanied me on my trip to Japan. I have been self-teaching since I graduated from high school and do not have any contact with my old mentor. I remember hiragana, but I must revisit katakana as I have forgotten some of the characters. As for French, I mostly have knowledge of it through my fluency in Creole. I need improvement in grammar and conversation in both languages. I yearn to be able to speak them as fluently as my native language, English. My hope is that I am able to someday teach them to those who have the same desire as me. I am more than willing to dedicate as much time required to language lessons. It would be a blessing if I could find teachers that are patient and dedicated to helping me achieve my ambition. The art of languages is one that I find to be unmatched. If language was not a barrier, I believe the world would be more united.

Executive Language Training is an industry leader in providing English and foreign language training to companies and their employees. As a result, we purse certified and experienced teachers to support our expats. We hire teachers or experienced language trainers as independent contractors to help support our clients new language development. Our language programs are based on hours. Each employer approves a number of hours in which they would like their employee to receive language tutoring.

I was fluent, or fairly competent in French during graduate school, as I completed my master's thesis in cultural anthropology in French Polynesia. The language was very important to me. However, this was in 2014, and I have forgotten a lot of the language in the time since I have returned to the US.
I would say I am at an intermediate level of French or higher, but I want to start back at the beginner level and work from there.
I am also working as a school teacher so I would have to meet in the afternoons or evenings, once or twice a week. I also have flash cards and Rosetta Stone that I use daily. I have also saved FR101 college textbooks that I can use.
I would like anyone who is fluent and encouraging, and can really help me remember conjugation & the grammatical rules of the language.

I would like to learn French to advance my career. I was exposed to French while living in Tunisia for nearly 4 years. I have studied the language on my own and used the language in my work, however I have only taken a few formal lessons. I would like to focus on my pronunciation and improve my writing and speaking skills. I would be interested in 2 lessons per week.
