My grandparents are from Slovenia and we still have many relatives living in Slovenia that we have just discovered. We are planning on visiting Slovenia within a few years, and I would like to learn the language basics. I am interested in learning this language because I spent 4 months in Slovenia this year and fell in love with the country and the language. I started to pick it up fairly well, but there was a lot of grammatical things that I simply didn't understand. When I hear people talking in Slovene, there is some vague understanding when I hear familiar words and I also understand all of the numbers. I want to learn as fast as I can, so I plan to dedicate a lot of time and effort. I am looking for a teacher to be able to explain the difficult grammer to me, to be patient and to motivate me to learn. I also am looking for a teacher who is precise and not afraid to correct and push for the right pronounciatio n also. I want to learn the laguage properly.
