I was born in the USA and moved to Japan when I was 6 years old. Throughout my life, I have tried to maintain my two native languages; Japanese and English. During my junior year of university, I did an exchange program in the Netherlands and attended a Dutch Univeristy for 8 months and did an internship at a Dutch company for 3 months.Also,m y boyfriend's family only speaks Dutch and after my studies in Japan, I am planning on moving back to Holland and doing my masters there. Thus, I really want to learn the language! Right now, I think that my Dutch is at a beginner's level. I feel that I need more practice in grammar and conversation skills. I am looking for a teacher who could meet with me maybe once or twice a week and who is a native speaker of Dutch.

Hello,
My name is James Thompson and I am 29 years old. I am a product manager for an automotive company.
I am currently seeking to learning Dutch as I have a Dutch girlfriend of 9 months and although her family and friends all speak brilliant English, I would like to be in a position where I can communicate back to them in their native language or at least be able to understand their Dutch so they do not have to switch to English when they are in my company.
I am also looking to relocate to the Netherlands in the next year or so and would like to make a head start.
I am also ashamed to say, I don't speak another language well which has always been a objective of mine.
I currently understand and can say pleasantries but that is it, so I am at a very very basic level.
I am not too concerned about being able to write in Dutch just yet. 2-3 hours per week would be perfect.

Hello klaafje,
I 'm Joaquin, a spanish programmer that is being sent to Den Haag for 2 months starting the 23rd of june and finishing the 23rd of august. Since I'm going to be there, I would like to take this chance to learn a new language that I know nothing about. I do know a few sentences in afrikaans, but I don't think that will be enough!
I would want to take at least 2 hours per week after work, preferably one hour a day, for the whole period I'll be there.
