I want to learn the Arabic language for a couple reasons. I want to learn it to be better prepared for a job and also because i would just like to know the language. I would consider myself a beginner, i only know a couple words and thats it. I would most likely dedicate about one to two days per week depending on the instructor. The qualities i would be looking for in my lessons are efficiency and effectiveness , as long as i am getting better after every lesson than thats good.

My name is Sarra, and I am a junior at Georgetown University in Washington DC. I have taken three semesters of intensive Modern Standard Arabic (fusha) at Georgetown, and I am now spending a semester in Dubai. Since my family just moved here and will be spending a considerable amount of time here, I hope to learn aamiya, or colloquial, arabic. I have learned how to use various tenses in fusha, but I want to focus on learning colloquial. I can dedicate up to 2 hours a day in class, and I am willing to dedicate as much personal as necessary to learn the language proficiently.
