Dear prospective teacher, although my native language is French I have lived in Australia for nearly 40 years and obtained a BA in Modern Asian Study from Griffith University in the late 80s. I would like to learn conversationa l Arabic as I often go to the UAE, I recently came back from a 4 months stay in Al Ain (UAE)and I realised that in order to be more involved in the everyday life there, I need to be able to communicate better in Arabic. I have traveled to Jordan and Egypt and wish to visit more places in the Middle East.
I only know a few Arabic words thus I need a beginners course. I would like to be able to understand a normal simple conversation at the start and progress from there.
I would like a teacher who is a good communicator, patient, understanding in a small group setting.

I am going to Syria at the end of the year to visit my family for the first time. They speak broken English and I want a basic understanding of how to communicate with them. I do not know how to speak Arabic at all. I would like to have lessons around once a week in person. I would like someone who is patient as i have never learnt a second language.

I am wishing to learn the Hungarian language because i would like to travel to Hungary. Part of my family background is Hungarian and i would love to visit the country and be fairly fluent and familiar with the language to enhance my overall travel experience. I have purchased Hungarian grammar books befor that contain self taught activities, i have found these helpful. I can recognise words / phrases that i have become familiar with and can prounounce words in the correct Hungarian form. i am by no means fluent in the language but i am very eager to learn and dedicate my time to do so. I would like have lessons once or twice a week depending on teacher availability. I dont participate in activities other than work, therfore i have a good amount of time to dedicate to learning. I would prefer to the participate in face to face tutorials with a teacher in a one on one environment. I am wishing to beome reasonably fluent in Hungarian.

I am a University student doing my first year of Arts. In December I went to Bangladesh for one week with my family as my grandparents lived there for eleven years several decades ago. I am now very keen to learn Bengali - firstly because I have an interest in languages as a part of my degree, and secondly because learning Bengali would allow me to return to Bangladesh in the future, whether for a time or indefinitely.
I am definitely classified at beginner level; I cannot speak the language at all, and would like to learn Bengali with regard to phonetics, grammar and conversation.
At the moment I am looking to spend an hour or two every week in lessons.
