I am an intermediate level learner of Hawaiian (self-taught and UH Manoa student) and would love to improve my conversation skills especially. I have no knowledge of Italian (but I did take college Latin for two semesters). Since I plan to move to Italy in a few years, I could use a basic foundation! I've been studying Spanish for the past six months using various books and 'learn in your car' CD programs, and have acquired a basic vocabulary and some familiarity with grammar and verb tenses.
Much of my vacation travel is to Latin America, and I would like to be able to communicate more easily with the locals on my trips.
My pronunciation and grammar are reasonably good - I find my biggest issue is understanding Spanish when spoken at the normally fast pace used by native Spanish speakers.
I would like to schedule at least four hours of instruction per week. I am looking for a teacher who has a thorough understanding of the language, and is patient with their students.
