My boyfriend is Indian and has many friends that do not speak English. We also plan on regularly visiting his family in India and since marriage is on the cards, I would love to do my bit and learn what I can so I don't feel 'left out' of conversations he's having and can understand what is being said.
I would love to do 1 hour a week.. I am working and studying full time so am afraid that's all the time I'd be able to give to learning but would what to continue learning over a long period of time.
I am definately a beginner. I know nothing about how to speak punjabi..
All I would like from my teacher is to teach me in such a way that I can pick up the basics and understand roughly general conversation :)

Hello. I travelled to Iceland last year and fell in love with the country. I enjoyed listening to the language and but wasn't there long enough to learn to speak much beyond some key words and phrases. Although there isn't a great benefit to learning Icelandic, I would like to challenge myself to overcome its complexities enough to at least have a conversation with some of the locals, especially if I return. I have been studying Hildur Jonsdöttir's 'Teach yourself Icelandic' with. varying intensity so am slowly getting my mind around verb conjugation and pronunciation s. I have a busy job but would like to dedicate some time to this, preferably as structured lessons.
